How to Use Sodium Bicarbonate

Cooking

Sodium Bicarbonate is used for leavening baked goods that contain acidic ingredients. The acid reacts with the Sodium Bicarbonate releasing bubbles of carbon dioxide.

General Cleaning

To remove grease and stubborn stains, mix 2 tablespoons of Baking Soda with 1 tablespoon of Lemon Juice to form a foaming mix. Apply to a damp cloth and clean.

Smelly Carpet?

Just Sprinkle the Baking Soda evenly all over the carpet (use a sieve to get a nice even covering), leave for 3-4 hours then hover up. The smell should be gone and the carpet smelling fresh and clean.

Does your Fridge Smell?

Leave a bowl of Baking Soda in the fridge for 24 hours and any nasty oders will be soaked up by the Baking Soda.

Nobody likes the smell of Wet Dog

Sprinkle Baking Soda over your dogs fur and brush it through. The baking soda should mop up all the odors as its brushed through.
